My name is Chris Clarke and thanks for popping by .

This used to be a commercial website for my work as a professional photographer – but i retired and so now i use it for anything and everything.

Probably a bit ego-tistical but having the freedom to post what you want , when you want becomes addictive. Does it matter if no=one sees it or reads it? The true pleasure in doing a jigsaw is in the making – not the finished article and that is how i feel about stuff.

Freedom also brings with it the ability to decide that i dont want to do something and that is important because i dont want to just go through the motions.

Photography was always my passion and remains that way but i became a little disillusioned with some of my efforts and so i take a break every so often and try something different – adapting to changes in life and the ageing process generally fascinate me. I take pleasure in different things as life unfolds .

I am exploring other mediums of communication and whilst the potential for doing say a podcast fascinates me – i dont want to offer something up that does not feel right or is the same as everyone else. What is the point in that?

As a 40 year supporter of Bristol Rovers- aka The Gas. I have decided to include Bristol Rovers related thoughts and observations . I have always enjoyed writing and taking on new challenges and this doesnt stop just because i am getting longer in the tooth. Maybe a podcvast there too – if i can find the rght collaberators. There is a journal page for my regular stuff but like many people in my position i forget about it for months on end and then get a conscience and post something.

I may occasionally photograph people without permission (but always legally) and if you are one such individual who does not want your image shown on my website then please let me know and I will delete it. With regard to Rovers , the images on those pages may not be my own as i have no special access .
