March 16th season over

Last season fizzled out badly like my attempt to write a regular blog .

The problem is that if you are not  committed  to something then there is a tendency to give up if the going gets tough and that summarised my efforts of last season and those of the team that I watched . i only want to blog if i have something to say and at time last season i was just at a loss for words as to how a team could look so good some weeks and yet so very poor at others.

Lincoln away was my breaking point in that it summarised everything up so well . I actually went there thinking that we might turn them over  and there were moments of promise with some quite good football but overall it was a complete shambles and proof that no amount of individual skill can make up for a lack of team spirit. i walked away from the game thinking – ” why do i make this effort? ”  i also couldnt work out what was going on in the dressing room.

The fact that the captain and manager were at such odds in their after match comments showed a clear divide in expectations but it was the lack luster and tired performance of some of the younger players that showed  to me that they were not enjoying being part of the team and despite the fact that we still had 8 games to go – our season was over.

I watched the fixtures  but simply didnt see the point in writing about them and so this blog petered out .

No-one was really reading it anyway – so no-one commented .
