Time to rotate?.

I never thought that I would ever write this but I think the time has come for Bristol Rovers to rotate.some of the players in the squad.

Defensively we have been playing the same 3 central defenders ie Taylor Moore. James Wilson and Clinton Mola since the season started The Manager argues - not unreasonably = that they played well in the previous game and so deserve to keep their place in the team. The truth of the matter is however that Connor Taylor may be in the form of his life - but we just dont know because he is not getting game time . The manager admits that he is one of the best central defenders in League1 but he is surely not going to get better sitting on the bench every week .

Micheal Forbes looked impressive early on and he is mature beyond his years but you can guarantee that if he does not get game time then he will return to West Ham at the first opportunity and that may well be the very time that we need him.

Barnsley were obviously going to pose a complete;ly different threat to Cambridge and I thought that we might play Connor Taylor at the back to battle the aerial threat of Cosgrove but we stuck with the same line up even though we were lacking a true defensive midfielder . Does anyone believe that Barnsley would have won over 65% of the aerial combat had Connor played at the heart of our defence for 90 minutes?

So on we go against Wigan and hopefully we will have done our homework and know their strengths and weaknesses.

We need to change things around in midfield to try and find that creative spark which has been missing. We all know what Ward can do but rather than play safe he should perhaps be placed on the bench to give an opportunity to either Isaac Hutchinson or Kofi Shaw. No matter how good or bad a player is in training they can suddenly look completely different on a pitch and Kofi has given a few hints that he can make the step up.

i am of course just a fan and we all know better than the manager. Its the fans forum tomorrow evening so lets see wht happens there .
